About the Role
We are particularly interested in candidates whose research program has strong potential for synergy and collaboration with our faculty members—Nakwoo Kim, Euihun Joung, and Junggi Yoon—on our core topics in string theory, holography, and quantum information. Additionally, special consideration will be given to applicants with experience in computational methods such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), or quantum simulation, as these skills can foster new and exciting collaborative research directions within the group.
Position Details:
Appointment Period: The positions are available from as early as October 2025 until December 31, 2027. Extensions may be possible subject to research performance and funding availability.
Salary: The annual salary starts from 60,000,000 KRW (including 4 major social insurances and severance pay), and is negotiable based on the candidate's research experience and qualifications.
Starting Date: The starting date is flexible and can be arranged upon discussion. Positions are available immediately, and successful candidates can be appointed as early as this October 2025. An early start is encouraged.
Application Process:
All applications should be submitted online via AcademicJobsOnline.
A complete application must include the following materials:
Cover Letter
Curriculum Vitae (CV)
Research Statement
List of Publications
Three Reference Letters (to be submitted directly by the referees through the AJO system)
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis starting from October 1, 2025, and will continue until the positions are filled. We strongly encourage early applications for full consideration.

About Our Group
The K-THEP (Kyung Hee Theoretical High Energy Physics) group at the Department of Physics, Kyung Hee University, invites applications for 3 postdoctoral fellow positions funded by the prestigious Korean Government's Brain Pool (BP) program.
Kyung Hee University is a leading comprehensive university in Korea, located in the vibrant and dynamic city of Seoul. The K-THEP group provides a stimulating and collaborative research environment for young, ambitious researchers. K-THEP is a dynamic and rapidly growing research hub. The group currently consists of 3 faculty members, 4 postdoctoral researchers, and 8 graduate students. With another postdoctoral researcher set to join this year, K-THEP offers a sizable and vibrant community ideal for collaboration and active academic exchange.
Research Areas:
Our group's research covers a wide range of topics in theoretical high energy physics, including string theory, quantum gravity, holography, and quantum information theory. The group consists of three faculty members:
Prof. Nakwoo Kim: Superstring theory, AdS/CFT correspondence, exact solutions in supergravity.
Prof. Euihun Joung: Higher-spin gravity, AdS/CFT correspondence, and modified gravity theories.
Prof. Junggi Yoon: Large N models, holography, 2D/3D gravity, quantum information theory and quantum simulation.
